If you have questions about receiving (or paying) child support, click on the link for the Department of Social Services (the bar at the left labeled "Local"). Next, locate and click on the county where you live. Here you can find addresses, phone numbers and directions. Use the bar on the left to learn how to apply for services.

If you want to calculate the amount of child support you should be receiving (or paying) if the child support guidelines apply to you, this site provides a worksheet with complete step-by-step instructions.

Maryland Code, Family Law Article - www.lawlib.state.md.us

Click on Maryland Legal Links near the bottom of the screen. Click on Maryland Code, then click on Maryland Code which appears on the left. Click on next doc which appears on the right. A bar will appear on the left; check Family Law and proceed from here. If you have some knowledge of Maryland law or you want to search for a particular word or topic, this can be a useful site. It is not a user-friendly site if you are a novice or not really sure how to start looking for the information you want.
