Background
Deborah E. Dwyer graduated, cum laude, from the University of Baltimore School of Law in 1988. Prior to graduating from law school, Ms. Dwyer earned a B.A. in Jurisprudence and graduated summa cum laude from the University of Baltimore in 1985. Ms. Dwyer has been in private practice since 1988.
Ms. Dwyer is currently a member of the Federal Bar Association, Maryland State Bar Association, Howard County Bar Association, and the Howard County Chapter of the Women's Bar Association. She also belongs to the District of Columbia Bar, and The Honorable James Macgill American Inns of Court. Ms. Dwyer is the past president (1996-97) of the Howard County Chapter of the Women's Bar Association.
Ms. Dwyer's legal experience includes work in the areas of family law, wills and estate administration (probate) and powers of attorney. Ms. Dwyer provides pro bono representation to qualified Marylanders through the Maryland Volunteer Lawyers Service.
Ms. Dwyer is admitted to practice in all federal and state courts in Maryland as well as the Supreme Court of the United States and the District of Columbia.
